Windows 7 question

I've recently upgraded to Windows 7 and now when I drag a window or a picture, or anything else around my desktop, if I drag it towards the top of the screen, it automatically 'maximizes' to fill the whole screen. Is there any way to disable this? Some might say simply don't drag anything to the top of the screen, but it's surprising how often I do this unintentionally, and now it's bloody annoying when I do! Can it be disabled?
