Not sure he can just sell like this but is hoping by going public the existing shareholders who I imagine should get first refusal will not take up the option because they would look bad to supporters now if they did.

I will buy some shares for my Grandchildren. Their parents are Palace fans (I've explained so many times before and don't intend to again) and this is a part of my master plan to ensure they come to The Amex with me and grow up supporting the Albion.

With TB owning 90%+ of the shares at the moment is there anything to stop him converting more loans to shares ? Dick could sell his holding for £1 a share equating to £1M but then Tony can come along and dilute the percentage even further with a £40M conversion. The articles of association may still have a covenant stating that one individual cannot own the entire club but do the existing shareholders have the option to buy from other shareholders before the shares are offered to new investors ?

Certainly will. Well done Dick.

He is supposedly selling his 1.54% of the club. Which currently no one wants to buy as it's worthless. For £1million. Not quite sure he should be congratulated for that?

Nail on the head.

I repeat though he is only selling 1.54% of the club. That kind of minority shareholding is completely worthless and he is selling it for £1million. Fair play to him. But not sure we should be rushing to congratulate him.

Not really sure of Dick's real motives.

He clearly does not like the way the club is going commercially. If he sells his one million shares at face value, he will pick up £1,000,000.

So I am undecided at the moment.

It's three years old so doesn't show the increase in percentage for TB which of course would lower everyone elses percentage. I don't think the list of holders has changed though - just the percent held by each.

EDIT - to clarify, TB's increase in percentage isn't because he's brought shares from other holders. It's because he's converted some of his loans to shares.

He could go on an American-style rampage with a handgun through Pavilion Gardens and there are certain people who would praise him to high heaven for it.

If he shot some of the pond life living their life there through a three litre bottle of Thunderbird then who could blame them?

If Knight is selling the shares out of spite to inconvenience the club, no. If it doesn't inconvenience the club in any way, yes.
Same.

I think we will find it is typical Dick Knight publicity bullshit. I am sure he knows full well that he cant' sell his shares if the current shreholders want them. I suspect he is using this as firstly a chance to publicise the book
So I won't be buying it.

What difference does it make who is selling the shares or why?

Maybe if DK's shares are bought by fans it will encourage the club to offer some for sale as well.
