Silly old bat
I'm just the cautious sort and Naylor only knows what he is told to say! If we had 30 players on say £5k a week average (some significantly more, some significantly less) it would be a wage bill of £8m. There are all the other people costs - Management, admin, community, coaches, centres of excellance, stewarding (100s of them), etc etc. We probably get around £10 to £12m a year in gate receipts, so this probably covers wages. Yes, there are other income streams and I don't know how much the club actually netts from these, but I am just concerned that people's expectations of what we are able to spend doesn't match up with what we have available.
I agree with you regarding the gate receipts but that doesn't take into account the boxes and 1901 members which would add to that. I also agree with you about the expectations of what we are able to spend.

I think the Mr Burns has got two MASSIVELY different issues confused.
There is a difference between Gus making bad signings and gus starting the signings on the bench.

The issue i think Mr B has is Gus's selection, not his signings.
No one can say Buckley and Lua-Lue wern't great investments? Surely?
Mr B hasn't got the issues confused.

Mr B thinks the signings are different class, but Mr B is a tad confused that although the current manager signed them, he doesn't play them to their strengths, or play them at all.
