Because clubs may not be able to get their prospective signings to medicals, etc.?

For instance, I wonder if Craig Davies was planning to come down this morning to have his medical and then sign? Might be OK if he's staying in Brighton.

I would guess the fax machine is working. The medicals could be done local to where they are

Andrey Ars shaving in flying in from St Petersburg on a private jet, we should do the same for Davies, Kilkenny and McNUlty
If they did sign in time with then wonders of techonology , and the game was on, would they make it here to play?

So we get the Oldham doctor saying 'No problems, he's fit to play'. Could be an interesting legal argument if he turns up with a dodgy knee.

As long as we get the players that we want, I couldnt give a f*** about any other teams, infact I'd find it funny if many teams missed out on players.

I wasn't necessarily suggesting the Oldham club doctor - just a suitable local doctor (check they don't have an Oldham season ticket first to be on the safe side!)

SSN are saying that Premier League signings can go past the deadline if the two clubs lodge an agreement to transfer before 5pm.

Don't know if this is the same in the Football League.

No, it only applies to the Premier League not the Football League or the SPL.

Obviously too nippy for the poor darlings
