Major...do I take it you have been beaten by a palace fan in the past? Or you had a bad sexual encounter with a palace fan as you do seem somewhat obsessed!

I think any encounter would be soured upon the realisation of their loyalties

Well, I hate to say it, but at least Palace are there - which is what we all wanted. I'm sure if
we had gone up we'd have struggled big time.

My bet for Palace to be bottom at Christmas is suddenly looking even better.

Absolutely this. Couldn't care less what Palace do or don't do, but I'd have quite happily settled for a season in the Prem with parachute payments to mount a stronger challenge next time we went up.

Like Wolves and Blackburn?

Thinking more West Brom-ish, actually. And Wolves and Blackburn weren't 'bounce' clubs - they'd been up there a while, and there were serious problems at both, like the Venky's

Ok then more like Middlesbrough, Derby, Birmingham, Leeds, Charlton, Bolton, Pompey. All received parachute payments in the last 6 years and all done zilch with them.

Palace have blown half their money this year on utterly appalling signings, players that will also eat up a good proportion of any payments next year. The worst thing is that they havent even spent real money on that cesspit of a stadium which is their only real hope of having a healthy long term future.

I seriously doubt we'd have done as badly as Palace. Palace were the worst team in the top 6 last season, and they lost their best player before the start of this season. We'd have strengthened, they got weaker. Other teams that have been promoted haven't struggled as much as Palace, because other teams haven't been as bad as Palace.

Yes, but we've got Tony Bloom (and a better stadium) so I'll stick with West Brom-ish

I agree with you Trig.

The pikey boys have bought badly and those players' wages will be eating into the parachute payments next year.

I can't see why any decent player, whether proven or upcoming would want to go there over other clubs, silly money aside.

The whole club and area is a dump, a true cesspit of forgotten life.

Had we gone up we would bought far better because just for starters, players would have wanted to come here, the stadium, the academy, the sea and the town itself.

I reckon if we had any 4 out of our injured 8 back right now we'd tonk them.

I must admit I am really enjoying all the Palace games on the tele this year. They are brilliant.

Yes it's good fun trying to spot how many of their fans are watching the game and how many of them have their back to the pitch and are jumping up and down completely unaware (and uncaring) of how badly they are being dicked. RentAnUltra:wanker:

The best I can say about Selhurst is that it has 'character'.
