He did seem super quick today! Vicente was also awesome. In fact overall a great performance and was summed up by a Chelsea fan walking to the station "They play better football than three quarters of the Premier League".

Oh come on, really? LuaLua is quick but Buckley seems to outpace anyone he's up against.

Not taking anything away from Buckley. But did Ashley really look at full throttle today?
I am also not trying to split hairs. We were good today. What I am trying to ascertain is a what level/gear do we think the opposition played at?
I don't think Chelsea will play worse than they did 2nd half today. During the the rest of the season IMHO.

That was their last match/workout before they play Man City for the Charity Shield, I don't think their manager was expecting them to hold back.

Lua lua has a massive burst of pace over 5 yards to get past the last defender but Buckleys pace over 10 to 30 yards is BLISTERING!!!

for me Lua Lua would win a 100m race but Buckley would destroy him over 200m.

I watched the training in Portugal last year and can confirm that LuaLua the quickest player in the team. They did several repetitions of sprinting, slalom, forwards and backwards steps and another sprint. LuaLua did it sub 28 secs every time whereas the rest of the team ranged between 29-31 seconds.

They wanted to win did you not see Campards gestures to the north after there goal, did you not see the diving the constant appeals to the ref for offside or fouls did you not watch the game.One thing is for certain they are not the same team without Drogba,they will win fcuk all this coming season
Agree. They wanted to win and were pretty upset not to. Arguing with the ref etc.
Some miserable gits on this board tonight are almost trying to down play this game. We played a Chelsea team stacked with first teamers and we beat them and made them look very ordinary

I meant, over a longer distance i think Buckley would be quicker. Is that easier for you to understand?
Lua Lua has raw pace.
Buckley glides, has a great football brain, and in his one-man winning counter attack against PL Newcastle he just ate up the ground.
