After the whole ‘O’Callaghangate’ and his tirade against Dick Knight (to which Sheepshanks apologised), bhabeb claims that Dick Knight was able to move heaven and earth to ensure that GO’C was not able to get another job in England and was forced out of the country, to return to Cork City. Conveniently slotting in with her whole anti-Dick agenda.

i think sheepshanks apolised before he knew all the facts - at the end of the day george was a good player but where has he gone now and why - all i'm saying is Dick knows the answer - also for the record a lot of people may be pro dick knight for what he has done for the club - for which I AGREE - its just other things that fans don't know about - its ok saving the club but holding it back can also do more harm than good - now as i have said before i let you all have your opinions let me have mine - i am not asking you to agree with me but i don't slag you lot off for having yours

George was a fantastic player in my opinion (at this level), but there was a side to him that obviously held him back. In five and a half years in English football, he made less than 50 starts. Why was that? Sheepshanks apologised as O'Callaghan was wrong to launch a tirade. He was not our player and certainly not privvy to suqad negotiations etc. etc. It was not his place and he had no right to go running to the press without even speaking to his temporary employers.

Apologies if you think I have launched some sort of witch hunt against you. You are throwing round spurious accusations with NO proof and not even giving the chance for Dick or the board of counter your claims. Why not write an open letter to the club if you think you are uncovering some sort of plot to hold the club back.

The evidence on the table is that the board are happy with Dick and Dick is happy with the board. Do you think these shareholders would continue to prop up the business if they did not believe in their chairman?

I just give mine on how i feel and what i know - now what i know is in confidence (that means i am unable to tell) that is why i can't say - all i will say that if all the fans did know what goes on at the club then i am sure you would all feel the same - with regards to the football i do post about football its just in the past month a lot of the conversations have been about comings and goings at the club

There are plenty of people that are close to the club. You seem to focus on both Hammond and O'Callaghan, so I am guessing that you have been given information from someone closely associated to either of them (directly or indirectly).

If there is such a heinous crime happening then why is it being kept quiet you and your 'source'?

Now that is called a sensible question, and will therefore NOT garner a response.

Call her a loony, and she responds with a shallow, meaningless answer. Respectfully ask her to back up her claim, and you hear nothing, aside from 'I know the truth'.

I am sure Debs has absolute unshakeable faith in her source, believing as she does one particular person's (who may or may not have an axe to grind) side of something that may or may not have happened. I, on a certain level, respect her keeping this source private. Whether it is a misguided faith is something we, unfortunately, shall never be able to judge.

What does destroy any credibility in her claim, however, is when she takes it a stage further, and moves into the realms of fantasty - the 'Dick Knight spoke to every chairman in order to destroy George O'Callaghan's career' post - I suspect you'll find Jim Magilton and Richard Sheepshank might have had more say in it than Dick Knight did - for one, or that Richard Sheepshank and Dick Knight don't know what's going on.

Sorry, Debs, I'd really love to take you seriously, and would love to hear what Dick's big lie is, but you really don't make for a convincing case. 'I know the facts' is, I'm afraid, a totally meaningless response.
