In the 1991 playoff final we took 35k to Wembley, that's a bigger allocation than you'll ever get now. And we took a similar number to Cardiff in 2004. I think since the Amex, we have attracted a larger fan base and could take 40k to any play off or cup final.

We took just over 28K to Cardiff in 2004.

So that basically backs up the argument that Brighton is pretty isolated football wise that helps with the attendances, although home attendances are still good regardless. But the flaw in the article is where do Villa affect Brum City's local area? Surely it halves it?

Better guide is the Wikipedia 'urban areas' stats.
