I seriously like the Sponsored Walk idea....could get several hundred (even thousands) involved. Also - it has unlimited potential to raise money. With a concert you are limited by the capacity of the venue, whereas with a sponsored walk there's no limit to how many people you can invite to sponsor you. Also, plenty of opportunity for the less sane contributors on here to dress up, do the sponsored walk backwards, etc, etc. Could be a great money-spinner AND a real laugh.

How about Sunday 7th November? Gives us time to organise it, but still sufficiently pre-Christmas to ensure people have got some dosh available.

My view is that to give it more credibility we should also be collecting money for REMF or a high-profile local charity, but that's just my opinion.

I posted below about a sponsored walk the CLUB are in trouble and need to get their act together.

They have the commercial acuman (allegedly) why oh why don't they organise and have innovation ?

Same old story ask the fans, let them do it.

There a numerous public and private schools in Sussex. Several strategic walks could be set up at the same time on the same in all of Sussex - schools could be mailed with SPONSOR forms.

Get real BHAFC and get organising - stop passing the buck.

I am not paying anything yet until I see some innovation from the club.

The club have known about this for a while otherwise their current buisness analyst should be sacked.

We are going to walk for Falmer on 27.09.04 so why haven't sponsorship forms been organised ?

Add it up say 5,000 walkers each sponsored £20 = £100K

The club must think more commercial, something I fear will haunt us when we get to Falmer.

In my ignorance, isn't this something that the club should be concerning itself with. With the best will in the world, most of us work for a living and supporting Albion is a spare time activity!

However, Albion have individuals whose job is running the club day in day out.

As you know with the REMF days, the first year, interest was fantastic, but since then interest from Albion fans and people in general waned.

I feel the club must take a lead in this organise such things. We supporters are asked for a hell of a lot with Falmer letters marches etc etc

Here bloody here - we love Albion to death but what does this say about the club's commercial acuman ?

Let alone the business analyst who never say the £2.5 million hole.

Come on insider you lead us, believe me we will all do it but all work to pay over the odds costs for season tickets that may well pay your wages.

Why not organise a one-off meeting after getting the ideas in shape but PLEASE stop bloody relying on us all the time to sort this mess out.
