I don't get that story. If Sunderland were happy to loan him to Sheff Wed again, why would they recall him?

It does seem odd. Recalled early, and then sent back on loan again to the same club

If we can get a free loan (not paying wages) with a first choice price to buy if he succeeds with us (and by that I mean getting us to the Premiership) we're quids in.
