What I meant was; what information is he privvy to that no-one else is? Unless he works in the Planning Inspectorate's office in Bristol, or the ODPM's office, or knows and trusts somone who is working on this very issue in either of those offices, there is no way he has ANY information.

The whole point of the post was to show Falmer IS still there for us IF we keep going ...Got to be NATIONAL, Got to be SUSTAINED,Got to last if necessary through March and April. We all want Falmer but its not in the bag .We've got to fight for it like never before.
The clubs future is indeed at risk but Prescott can be turned, its just up to all of us to keep going and force him to change his mind....letters, e-mails anything you can think of....There's so many good things being done...but its got to continue and grow.
This was meant to be supportive, a plea to keep things going because everyones effort since the first negative report is working and its the only way to save our club.

If Prescott HAS made his mind up, why hasn't he told us?
If he really doesn't give a monkeys about us, and says NO, and he'll try to ride out any shit storm, and move on. If he does care about us, he'll say YES, no matter what the report says.
My partner runs her own school, and she was due to hear from the ODPM, via DfES (Dept for Education & Skills) about a grant for her school. She was due to hear on January 30, but the ODPM was running about two to three weeks behind schedule, becuase ministers hadn't OK'd the figures. She finally found out on Febraury 12.
There are half a dozen ministers in the ODPM, and I suspect that this is one of the knock-on effects from that - everything is running late.

I find the idea that Prescotts decision will be made one way or the other based on the national coverage over the next few weeks a bit dubious, to say the least. To claim that the decision on Falmer has been put back another few weeks because of the National Falmer Day, to see what reaction there is to it....? Come on. Are Prescotts advisers that much in the know that they are regularly checking up on NSC to see what else has been planned next to publicise Falmer ? Are we to believe that we were about to get the dreaded "NO" a week or two ago, but then they've just seen the National Falmer Day proposals and thought "No, hang on....better wait and see how that all goes first..". I don't buy it.
I'm not saying that all the campaigning, all the letters, all the publicity etc has been pointless - far from it. Its raised the profile of the club no end, and can only have helped the cause. BUT - help is all its going to have done - its not going to be the deal-breaker on the decision. Prescott and the planning committee's are not hanging around on making this decision to see what we've got up our sleeves next. Its taking for ever because - well, these things just do, don't they ? Even though its pretty much life or death for us, and is all that seems to matter at the moment, I can well believe that the Falmer decision is way, way down Prescotts "To Do" list. Well Yorkie I did break the news of Paul Brookers move to us from Fulham in the days of the old NSC and that got slated as well(Man of Harveys was particularly harsh I remember).
Registered when the new board got set up (like you) and yes this IS the first time I've felt I've had anything important to share. I'm not close to any club personnel, not part of the NSC clique. I like reading all your posts and keeping in touch with the news on here.

I have resigned myself now to hearing the decision....WHENEVER!!
I will keep campaigning and doing everything to raise the profile of the issue and show support, but in terms of when the decision will be made/announced, I gave up worrying about that a long time ago.

All these posts from people we've never heard of who claim to have "a reliable source" who, of course, they can't reveal, is getting boring. Personally, until I hear something from an official, accredited source, or Lord B, I won't believe it.
