Just to put a few minds at rest. The way I see it Prescott has now given Brighton and Hove Albion permission to build a 22,000 capacity stadium in Brighton. He has outlined that Falmer is a suitable site.

If after the public enquiry an alternative site cannot be found Falmer MUST be given the GREEN light. Otherwise he would be contradicting himself.

If after the public enquiry an alternative site IS found (highly unlikely) then we would be given the go ahead to build a stadium there! Although this would take longer than the first option it is still not that bad. Once the site has been ear marked there will be no cause for an further public enquiry as that will already have been thrashed out. All the club would need to do is pay an architect to design a new stadium and reassure the investors. Then we'd be away. I'd say a 12 month delay max.

But let's face it, there are no alternatives to Falmer. There just aren't any. That's not the truth it's FACT!

I've been told that there are investors waiting to um... invest... in the club. How much truth there is in that, I don't know. But look around at Sussex, it's affluent, great place to live, the club could to very well, both on and off the pitch.

no, no NO.
NONE of them are suitable sites. For the Albion lawyers, proving this will be like shooting fish in a barrel. I really can't be arsed to repeat the arguments against these sites here (check out the sticky at the top, or numerous other threads), but it is patently obvious that those sites are simply non-starters.

Going over these other sites again is just a provision on JP's part to plug any potential loophole which could invite a judicial review. He's played a blinder.
