LI, your comments are very ungracious. Now is not the time to be pedantic about one comment on yesterday's show.

The issue of the day is that Harty is leaving the show, a show that has always been presented with passion, good humour and genuine love for this club.

I will miss Harty and his unique presentation and hope that he remains involved with the club in some shape or form in the future.

well said. and thanks ian:clap:

Well done Ian, it's seems a long time since we did the pilot for Surf FM! Top show mate.
What about Stephen Grant doing it? He's on SCR already, be much better than Mike Ward.

It is the fact that it is the view of each individual fan who phones in that make it good listening whether you agree with them or think they are talking rubbish. The show would be boring if only the views of the club and or the views of SCR were aired.

As Harty said if you disagree with any caller phone in it your show.

Well done Ian and hope your business continues to prosper.

When I think of the untold efforts of god knows how many Albion fans have put into campaigning for Falmer over the past few years, the ungraciousness I'm afraid is directed at them in pretending there is a real debate about a shitty athletics track being our permanent home :nono:

If Harty is to be believed, the fact that so many Albion fans he knows still seem to believe this I find more depressing than losing a meaningless end-of-season game.

No, that's not how it is supposed to work according to a few 'quality posters' on here, who have been noticable by their abscence from this thread.

spot on.

You have to remember that LI is a journalist ( and according to a former boss of his and an acquaintance of mine, not a particularily good one) and he has to be seen to be making a point in each and every one of his posts. he will then come on and ingratiate himself with the great and good by quoting something about Falmer or his undying love for MM.

Getting back to the most important part of this thread, Harty, you have done a brilliant job, you were at the forefront of the exposure of the bad things happening to the club when Gulls Eye was in existance and you have never stopped asking questions about all things Albion. We do not want a Yes man at the helm of SCR, we fought long and hard to get rid of Archer and Bellotti and make this club accountable to its financiers, ie US and we will not stop that.

As for your replacement...I would love to do it...where do I send my application to? LOL

Seriously....Harty all the best ...Saturday afternoons have just lost something small but significant. A phone in for the fans by the fans and run by a true fan.

Given that former bosses of mine can only by definition be local newspaper journalists, it's remarkable they feel qualified to pass comment on someone now working at a national level  :lolol:

I have had a battering today from Dave and family :lolol:

Which is a shame as otherwise he seems quite friendly when he's asking me about London Irish games. Ah well.........

It appears to be open season on you - but if the same is done to 1066, it is bullying. Go figure.

Have to agree. DTG's post was far to personal for my liking - can we find someone on the board willing to question his professional compentence?

Also - it's funny how those celebrating the diverse views of Albion fans on the phone-in are criticising LI for his view. Classy.

ther are a few on here who have been subject to my services...LOL, and I am sure they have their views whether they thought I was value for money.... I am big enough and ugly enough to accept whatever is thrown.

I have never been described as classy...thankyou.

But surely that is the whole point isnt it? Diverse views. If you hold a view and are not prepared to accept the other person's point of view then you do put your head above the parapet in my books.

BTW the personal thing was a bit over the top and I apologise unreservedly

Like refusing to stop spamming and publishing other peoples work on the internet? How is 1066 different? And please don't say his age as he is old enough to be a father and gamble, apparently.
