Well, this is my take on it.

Please feel free to slate me off for this mini-rant but I'm just getting bored of the many on here saying our side isn't good enough and they're worried we haven't signed anyone.:bla:

First things first, it's early, the tranfer window doesn't open to july and i'm kind of pleased we haven't just signed any old out of contract numpty. This means to me that hopefully we are approaching clubs about quality players not just chasing cheap players that most others don't want.

We can't sign everyone we want, people have reasons for choosing other clubs over us and i understand that Murray wants to put his family first, this is NOT a reflection on our club but him trying to do what is best by his family and morals. If he leaves, good luck to him, there will be others, he would have been good but to be totally fair he was no Zamora.

There's no need to be worried. With the investment the chairman has put in he will be well aware that we need the squad rebuilding. Success is key for him. £80m interest free loan, at some point (many years)he'll want a bit of that back so we'll need to be in a higher division to bring in the revenue. At the end of the day a football club is a business nowadays. With the investment we have had i can only look up. We will sign players, probably players that haven't even been mentioned on here yet and hand on heart i believe we will be promoted either this season or next, starting at Falmer in the championship.

Stop worrying!

Rant over!

As one who has had a panicky moment and posted a thread which reflected my impatience, I definitely agree with your sentiments - please let me know when I can panic :p

In a pile of football shirts
That and most players wouldn't want to come to a shite football ground with no proper training facilities

I think we are going through the same predicament as 12 months ago , we will have to wait another couple of weeks before the action starts.

The only people that are worried right now are the same small cliche of habingers of doom. Frankly I wish they would support another team as they don't have any faith in this club.

It's good to see that not "everyone" was worried, just the usual, vociferous (and repetitive) minority perhaps?

I'm glad to see that it might be the minority, but reading on the other threads the minority do seem to make the majority of the posts on here!

My theory is we are like a swan, drifting serenely through the transfer market.
On the surface, nothing much is happening at all. But underneath the surface, away from prying eyes, we are working like the clappers to get to where we need to be. We don't want to come across as the Chelsea of the 3rd Division, so for now its all softly softly catchy monkey. Then one day soon it'll be BAM ! Five new QUALITY signings all announced on the same day that'll make our heads spin and our groins swell. *
