When we had Adams we had more money (Ondigital was throwing it everywhere) and the then possibility of selling a club who could look forward to moving into a stadium in 5 years. We were also lucky that his sacking at Fulham coincided with Al-Fayed wanting to throw money at the club to get to the Premiership. Consequently, the team he was building at Fulham for a possible tilt at the Championship was broken up and was able to be reassembled with us.
