When ever I try and post a piccy as b4 (img and enter the link) all I get is a link to the piccy and not the actual picture.

Example

jim9.jpg

PLEASE IGNORE AS IT WORKED

Can someone explain how I 'upload' (is that the pro term?) images from My Documents please? Clearly i'm a complete f*cking dunce and have tried, failed, and sheepishly been too afraid to ask for fear of being destroyed by IT supergeeks....please enlighten me....

As far as I am aware Gotsmanov you can only post pictures that are on a website somewhere.

Every time I have had photos to post I have had to send them to someone to host them for me.

Click on post reply and then img

I think it depends on the size of the img

Try preview before sending it and if it shows up there then you know it will post on the site.

I could only find one image yesterday from the Google image name search and it wouldn't load but other things have

If you have the url of an image then simple put [i m g] at the front of the url and [/i m g] at the end (but without spaces). Make sure it is the image ie the end has .gif or .jpg on the end as otherwise you will just get the link.

Click on the picture and go down to properties. Copy the url. Click on Post reply- IMG- Paste the lick and Roberts your father brother. Though it doesn't always work for me.

Top stuff, Yorkie, ta for the info

What a bugger, having to send images to people to host, just so that you can show one of your own piccies.
