There was a huge confrontation outside the ground afterwards between a fan, stewards and police on the way out of the South Stand.

Old chap not happy about something - anyone know what it was about ?

It started just outside block E at the end of the game, the man said something about foul and abusive language. They then escorted him out of the ground requested his name and address, didn't believe him and then i'm not sure what happened. It's pathetic though, foul and abusive language; may as well kick everyone out!

From what I could see was a total over reaction from stewards and Police .

They did look hard all postering though so well done to them

Seven, but it looked like a lot more?

Depends what time you got there I suppose.

When I arrived- just before half two I think- there was one Sussex van, containing two officers, a BTP officer, and a BTP PCSO. And they appeared mostly to be having a chat in the sunshine.

I can see how that would have LOOKED like thousands though (the PCSO was quite large).

Seven schmeven, I was just wondering why there was a police presence? There isn't usually except for the Leeds, Millwall type games. Not having a go at anyone, I'm just genuinely nosey.

Fair dos, well presumably they were acting on some kind of relevant intelligence (please, don't bother, I've heard every one before), as they'd rarely have more than a couple on duty for a game like Walsall.

Amuses me when people call it a total overreaction, as if to say that because nothing happened, it means they shouldn't have bothered, as opposed to considering that maybe nothing happened BECAUSE they bothered :lolol:

They had received intelligence about an elderly guying planning to swear in the ground.
