For me, Baleba’s our best player when he’s on song. Welbeck offers an extra dimension up front. Mitoma, amazing at times. Georginio, great now he’s playing regularly. I’ll plump for Van Hecke though for his consistency and season long contribution. He’s played the full 90 minutes a lot more than any other outfield player, mostly done a great job whoever he is paired with and become an important figure.

I voted for Georginio - purely because he's a breath of fresh air. A bit of a geek, yet absolutely flair on the ball. Pops up with immense skill, every game, and ball sticks to him like glue. It's been beautiful to watch.

I added the imperious van Hecke to the poll as he has been brilliant his season, as well as the legendary Mitoma who has scored goals this season that will be remembered for the rest of time.

I'm sad that Minteh hasn't had any votes so far, as he's improved so much and has been so important this season.

It’s Baleba for me simply because the others, including JPVH, Mitoma, Minteh and Georgino, who are the other 4 contenders for me, have all had slight dips, whereas Baleba has been one of the best 2-3 players on the pitch every time I’ve seen us play.

You can imagine what a tremendous role model he is and how, as a senior pro he could (if required) shut down any billy big bollocks pish.

I voted for him too for similar reasons. There is no standout player for me but it’s everything else he brings to the team that has been so impressiv.

I think he is showing a lot of potential to move into coaching… maybe another one from the Albion alumni?

I guess it is safe to assume that Van Hecke, Baleba and Mitoma are the ones in the mix to win this, with Baleba and Van Hecke (in some order) getting most of the "member votes" and Mitoma presumably getting a big majority from social media followers and Van Hecke probably ending up (at best) third in that one.

Actually going to be interestig to see the final outcome. For me the pick is Van Hecke just ahead of Baleba (though voted for Baleba in the poll but that was a while ago, fine margins).

It's always worth thinking back across the whole season when you're voting for this.

Also there have been so few players who have stayed fit for the majority of the season, that there probably aren't that many candidates now.

Baleba and Van Hecke are the stand out candidates. They've remained fit and shown consistency through the season

Well, maybe Baleba could win both. But Minteh should get credit for his debut season, so as it's only our club setting the rules and the outcome won't effect a change of government or anything, I reckon it's possible to set it that if you win the main award, you can't win an age group award
