All 3, fantastic memories of Millwall away, thousands of us pouring back to the station, some chanting Albion victory songs whilst others placed their finger to their lips and said "shhhhhhhh!!!!" Wonderful going to Millwall with it already in the bag. Final was a massive disappointment. Please not again, just seen Swindon's manager crowing on about what a great final Swindon v Bristol City is gonna be........ We just HAVE to beat 'em now.

Remember the home game with Millwall and after the fourth goal went in that toothless neandertol Millwall thug tried to take on the whole North Stand single handedly, and I think he would have been in there had the old bill not managed to hold him back!

I went to all three games as a 15 year old. And the Millwall game was the scariest game I've ever been to. Have to say though, it was probably the most exciting period I've had as a Brighton fan - more than the double championship seasons even

I went to the home leg and the final. Two overriding memories - firstly Sherringham missing a sitter that would have extended their lead and quite probably put us out, and secondly being on the tube in London with my small son and a huge pink elephant he was taking with him - it was bigger than him!

All three. Remember the funeral pyre at the Den and the tears welling up at Wembley. Thought we actually played quite well in the final - didn't Flash hit the post with a header and Wilkins the bar with a free kick?

I watched the official video of the 1991 play-off final again yesterday.

Gotta say that by current standards, our defending at Wembly that day was not good.

But Dean Wilkins and Clive Walker both rattled the woodwork - could have been a different story on another day.

Me ? I was in the Olympic Gallery.

And the first Notts County goal came from a corner that should have been a goal kick

Went to the home semi, but not the away leg (chickened out of the away leg after a previous Millwall away match experience a few seasons earlier - scary stuff) and went to the final. Not only did we lose but had a car crash just after we left Brighton (tosser behind me didn't stop and smashed me into the car in front) but still made it in time after one of my travelling companions went home for their car. Not only had the disappointment of the defeat, but had to get my car home from Brighton to Bexhill by breakdown truck after the game.

Home leg and final, likely to be away leg and final this time around.

1-1 away
3-0 home

Was at the home leg against Millwall for the "Sunday afternoon stroll in the park".

And was also at the Wembley final to see us thump the woodwork three times, I seem to remember Clive Walker hit both posts in the first half - it wasn't going to be our day.

Went to all three. The Millwall games were an unbelievable experience, hopefully never to be repeated for their scariness. I remember the North Stand being infiltrated by a lot of Millwall fans in the home game. They thankfully went quiet after the rout in the second half.

The second game was more scary, and I remember the bonfire incident vividly. Having been to the league game earlier in the season I decided against going on the train and actually parked in the away fans car park. I was very thankful afterwards as I drove through South East London with the doors and windows firmly locked and seeing how angry the Millwall fans were.

The final by comparison was a massive anti-climax

Play off final

:bounce: I went to 91 Final and took my grandson, wife, couple of friends etc and decided to take a mini bus.. Contacted the owner of KINGS FERRY in Gillingham and he told me in no uncertain terms he won't carry football fans at all !!! I protested but to no avail..
Now Mr Knight our beloved chairman (who professes to support locl companies) hires the same cretinous company to provide the TEAM BUS..
I have protested about this to him but he has never had the courtesy to reply.
And to top all that we lost to Notts County!!! still I have Johhny Byrnes Pink final shirt..:clap2:

Yep, saw all three. The atmosphere at the Old Den as the teams came out remains the most intimidated I've been at a football match, closely followed by the atmosphere just after they took the lead.

How long were we kept in there while they put out fires and tried to disperse them? Bloody hell, what an afternoon that was.

does anyone else get that feeling that days like that were a lot more exciting, the days of the 91 semi's and terracing etc?

maybe its just me........:p

BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!

Hmmmmm. I don't know if I'd use the word "exciting" when thinking back to the Millwall away leg.

However, it was difinitely brown trouser scary-time when the fires started......................................

But I love seeing Coder and Robinson's goal celebrations............the Millwall's fans reactions to seeing someone from the Afro-carribean community stuff their dreams is very satisfying.#

Oooohhhhhh I can't wait til Sunday.:bounce: :bounce: :clap2: :clap2:
