Wales - the only way Scotland will win is if Holland press the self-destruction button (mind you could well still happen).

Wales, as Scotland now have to try and hold out for a draw in Holland. If either of them go through, it will be a great achievement.:)

wales i think in best position but if scots get 1 goal in holland. they could easily make it as holland need 3 then.
hope both make it.

SCotland got a great result, but wales was a bit better. But if Holland score against Scotland they still have that goal

Great result for Scotland. But I think Wales are in the better position.

I think if the situation was reversed and Scotland and Wales were already through and we still had to qualify, I'm pretty sure you'd find that all the Welsh and Scots would want us to fail.

So for that reason I'd like Scotland to fail but it would be nice/funny to see Wales get through!

I think they are both in a pretty could situation.

Wales are very good at home so i think theyll go through and a one nil home result is fantastic as it means if you get one away the other team needs 3.

I was about to ask this question myself until I saw this poll. Personally I think Scotland are in a better position. 0-0 away is deceptive in its usefullness - it means the Russians only have to score once to be in total control and leave Wales needing to score twice to go through.

On the other hand, a jammy 1-0 home win is just what the doctor ordered for the sweaties. If they can hold out for half an hour in Amsterdam then the Dutch will be in a spot of bother leaving holes at the back as they push forward for an equaliser.

Equally, they could play Scotland off the park and be coasting for a 2-0 win with 5 minutes left, only for a last minute lucky deflected Scottish goal to send them out. And if the Scots score early, the Dutch are in real trouble.

Spot on with regard to Wales, Simster. Russia can easily hit Wales on the break and get a first half goal, putting all the pressure on Wales to score two. Russia shut up shop - the end.

Scotland, however, don't even have to score. If the Netherlands score, they'll only need one. If they score, the Netherlands will need 3.

Both still have a lot of work to do - I sincerely hope they both do it.

Holland will steamroll all over the sweaty socks !

My, how I will laugh ! :lolol: :clap2: :bounce:

Ooh I don't know. Is Clarence Seedorf still "100% sure" that the Dutch will qualify. Arrogant dork.

I hope they both make it, but have a feeling the Scots will get dicked in Holland. A home for Wales is quite possible though.
