really? i never knew that. Well you live and learn
Yes it is against the law to have alcohol on credit under the licensing laws, this actually includes buying it with a credit card. It's never enforced mind. A landlord has no recourse to demand a "tab" to be paid off.

darn. I wish I’d known that 🤪🤪
Years ago as a landlord you used to have to have a credit with your supplier prior to ordering your beer for resale.

One of those odd things.

When I lived in george street brighton in 1979, both pubs, the greengrocers and the veggie restaurant were all on 'tick'. Every friday, pick up your brown envelope of green folding beer tokens and pay your 'tabs'. In the olden days when people were straight and honest

Oh come on.
I'm having a glorious time plotting the Albion's possible trips around Europe.
That'll be me watching Brighton and Hove Albion playing in Europe again and I'm all excited.

The thread title couldn't me more on point and I put it in 'humour' (not that it means it's (funny!).

Find a place in your heart for some silliness on yet another exciting evening.

There’s absolutely no need for multiple tabs until tomorrow.

Although I do now know a cheap, back door route to Freiburg.

*taps nose*
