Who would you rather have as chairman, Knight or Madejski?

For all of those Knight bashers out there, who would you rather have as your chairman. Some rich tosser who doesn't even like the game, or a genuine fan of your club, who is doing his best to move us forward, but not put is in financial trouble?

It would be so easy for Knight to say, 'OK SC, he's a budget of an extra £2m for players/wages. We'll borrow it from the bank'. In 2 years time, administrators come and and god knows where that leads.

No, Reading can have their chairman (for as long as he's interested). I'll take Knight any day of the week, at least you know he's here for the long term.

:clap: :clap: :clap:

DK is honest, he's intelligent, he's an astute businessman and he's a gentleman.

He's not a snidey little wanker.

Reading are nothing - good luck Coppell, it's a step 'up' in the smallest and most transitory sense of the word.

Couldn't agree more - and I have the confidence that once again DK will employ yet another excellent manager - hopefully we can hang on to them as the Falmer dream materialises into bricks, mortar and a certain future.

SEAGULLS!

Its a team not a one man show. So neither of them. Dick Knight should get some more expertise on the Board.

We have learnt from the Archer affair (and its in the Constitition) that no single one person should be running the show.

Since when was one man running the show?

Of course we need other people on the board but until we get the go ahead for Falmer who is going to want to commit to the club by coming on the board, its too risky.

I am all for one man running the show if he builds us a brand spanking new stadium that the whole town can be proud.

I can see a few reasons why DK & Co. do not want anybody on the Board right now rocking the boat over the Falmer application. But too risky sort of implies that you do think that Falmer has all that much chnace of success? (I think the chances are somewhere between 50% and 75% but when?).

Mike Bamber joined the Board before he took over the reigns, and I tend to think that any new Board members ought to join now, to show their commitment (unlike Steve Coppell).

Big chant of Theres only 1 Dick Knight on saturday whoever is in charge is called for I feel. Shame the game id at Withdean cos no one will hear it! I can also confirm the england game is 6.30 pm not 6pm. My mate phoned up the F.A:rolleyes:

Appointments

Horton = Decent form with NO ground
Adams = Chamionship
Taylor = Championship
Coppell = Top of the league at time of departure

(ignores Hinsh although he did take us to 4th in the First Division)

Players stay despite all this managerial turmoil

On balance
DICK KNIGHT:bowdown: :bowdown: :bowdown: :bowdown: :angel:
