I would go for that top 6 but swap Forest with Bolton. I would change the order also as I think Bolton will be challenging for automatic promotion. Good manager, decent squad in place and they're already making moves in the transfer market.

Agree.i confess to entirely forgetting Bolton. They'll be thereabouts.

I'm just hoping we can make the playoffs once again - i'll take that as a target. New manager, (hopefully) new players to integrate.

It's v unlikely we'll win the league - we don't have a right to as some people here think we have and whilst i'll be delighted if we do, i'll not vilify the management team if we don't.

I'm a little surprised at some of the negative comments on here. Everything here is geared up for The Prem thats how we've got to think. If the same thread was posted on a Leeds forum say, it would get a more positive reaction. They think they are better than everybody else and that's how we should be.

Although it pains me to say it, Reading have to be the overwhelming favourites for promotion. Squad with lots of experience of the division and of winning it, manager who has won promotion from the division, money to spend, and the best left-back in the division.

We can't even approach that. Some people need a reality check. We have a manager completely untried in this country, let alone at this level. Let's see how it goes. I'd settle for sixth place right now.

This. A couple of weeks ago people were saying we were going to be fighting relegation this year. At the moment we have exactly the same squad as we had two weeks ago!

I called 4th place correctly last year, this year I'm going for 6th.

You do realise that all other fans hate Leeds fans?

I'm sorry, but I think the league is stronger than last year. I don't think anyone will be guaranteed promotion and once again anyone can and will beat anyone. There'll be a minimum of fifteen clubs who feel they have what it takes to be in the top six. If we make the play offs, it'll be another good season.

Far to early to call until the squads are finalised. At the moment we have a weaker squad than what we had at the end of the season so until we replace the lost first team players I don't see how anyone thinks we can finish in an auto place just yet.
I called 4th last season but as things stand currently then I would go for 8-10th position.
Other teams do have better squads and more money available than we do to improve their chances.
I hope we don't suffer a hangover from what has been a tough two months and that dreadful performance against 'that' lot.
Ask again in about a month.
