And the year after that we can pray that a newly relegated QPR get promoted back to the Championship so they don't threaten our challenge, then a revitalised Sheffield Wednesday the season after that, then the following sesason a newly relegated Preston North....

Point taken but it could be Scunthorpe / Donny / A bare bones Pompey that come down - ya never know.

It's good for us Leeds have gone up - rivalry aside.

Why would we be gash? All our current team are contracted except paynter, we have new ties with man city liverpool and celtic for loan players and a board worth about 5 times more than tony bloom? Plus increased season ticket sales of near enough 6000 already and plans for the redevelpment of the county ground getting under way anyday soon.

Don't confuse personal wealth with how much an individual is willing to put into the club....

Exactly. It wasn't long ago that Cheltenham Town were the 'richest' club in this league.

Let's not talk about promotion. Any positive prediction seems to backfire big time and if we fail to win for four or more games, you end up with idiots demanding that [INSERT NAME OF MANAGER] should be sacked.

There is plenty of time to be worried about where we are and where we are likely to finish.

Who will be our main rivals for promotion next season?

Ourselves, at least the mindset and commitment of the players.

It matters not one iota what other clubs are doing if we ourselves are not performing.

Good point. Confidence plays a huge part as does team spirit. Those two can take you a long way in a league like ours.

Obviously I agree with you. At the beginning of this season everyone was talking about the big 4 of Leeds, Norwich, Saints and Charlton, so it could only be us left of those 3.

I think Albion will have to wait until Falmer to be considered one of the real threats of this league.
What the fu*k???
We have gained promotion twice to the championship while at withdean you know:facepalm:

Yeah but the first time (2002) was a superb effort punching well above your weight considering Reading and Stoke were also there. I cant see that being repeated. The second (2004) was a fluky season.

All 3 of my brothers support Brighton and they were convinced of being in the play offs at the beginning of this season, and looked what happened.

notts county 5th The ALBION 4TH, huddersfield 3rd,chalton 2nd.Millwall to win the play-offs thats why they are not here.ultimately depends on what dosh gus has to spend on players this summer
