....now imagine this you kids all the chat at Hove Park lower the day before was about the game but most Fridays we'd chat about who we were playing the next day Liverpool , Man U, Man City, Everton, Spurs Arsenal, Leeds !!!!!

This Man U game I recall watching the players get off the coach then Shirley Street for Chips and back in the Goldstone by 1.30 players in their suits on the pitch and all that.

I was in the North West corner and could barely see it was so crowded. Think I was there with my close friend Dave Young. Haven't seen him for ages. Give us a shout on PM Dave if you read this btw.

I was in the Directors box. My mate had got us a couple of comps and we were sat just behind Mike Baileys wife as I recall. Sandwiches and tea at half time. Was so good to see Peter Ward back.

Watched it with my mate stood on the East Terrace right next to all the Manure fans. Went round on to the Old Shoreham Road at the end of the game to see if there were any fun and games going on with the Manure fans just as they let them out of the North East section. We ended up in the middle of them as the Police formed a cordon round us to wait for their coaches to turn up ! Great fun, trying to hide our scarves in the middle of about 2000 Manure fans and then having to join in as they started chanting "United, clap clap clap, United". and then convincing the Plod that we didn't have to get on any of the coaches going back to Manchester as we were Albion Fans. Happy days !

I was there, in the South West terracing. My first ever game. Went with my dad, my grandad worked as a steward on the south west gate by the catering so I might have got in for free ;)
