And on a day I wore my Abbey road T shirt to work. I have been explaining he whole Paul is Dead and the cover as well as the Strawberry Fields and I am the Walrus 'clues'

Even though dead , still prefer Macca. Ther sems to be a myth that McCartney wrote the soft stuff and Lennon the hard rocky stuff. Well I give a few Macca belters . Back in the USSR , Helter Skelter and Why Don't we do it in the Road.

Gotta say though my three fave Fab Four tracks are all by George.
While My Guitar Gently weeps
Brown Shoe
I Me Mine

Yeah I know , mostly from the White Album.

As various posters have stated, the whole is better than the sum of it's parts.

However. I'm on the Macca side of the fence, although he hasn't done a decent album from Flaming Pie onwards, and I do await my flaming for that comment. I personally think that Linda was the only one who could say to him, "That's rubbish!"

As for Lennon. Beautiful Boy os absolutely awful, and likewise Woman. But Give Me Some Truth, I love.

His album, Memory Almost Full from a few years ago was decent.
