Before the game a Saints steward trainer was telling anyone who would listen that all away fans would have to sit , nothing happened of the sort ? ???

Likewise. Stood throughout. Stewards were good to be fair. Even the guy patting us down outside was good humoured.

I was thinking that. I even had a group of guys behind me taking the piss out of a redjaketed bald Saints fan across the netting and the Stewards and Police just stood there and blocked the "baldy scummer" from their view. Was f***ing hillarious to watch and listen to! And there was some other beige coated black hair looking **** too, near the netting. f***ing scummy fans Saints have.

Not normally a massive fan of stewards, but they let me sit (stand) away from my numbered seat with some mates as one of their party wasn't well yesterday and couldn't travel. GWS, Sneaky. They could have been jobsworths about it, and it improved my night.

On the other hand, is there actually a rule about homophobic chanting the stewards are supposed to adhere to? I don't think I'm as bothered about the issue as some, but you might as well abandon the lip service being paid to it if all your stewards and the police are just going to watch hundreds of fans doing just that and not do anything about it. If there is a directive, it is being ignored, and I thought stewards were supposed to be big on everyone obeying rules all the time.

Blimey, common sense apparently prevailed over a desire to enforce the Regulations. How unBritish. (Well un-21st century British).

Be interesting to hear HampshireSeagulls take on this.

Yes, "Baldy Scummer" I was on this side of the nets with my little brother  He was a right buffoon

Did you see the guy in the beige coat, black hair who was pointing at some one and gesticulating at them? He looked a right f***ing ****, one of them throw backs to the 80's. The guys behind me MADE my match. I was expecting some 17/18 year olds who would abuse the saints but no, its a few gusy who could pass as my dad instead.
