I once met a north korean nuclear physicist. He's not famous and I didn't meet him through work so, er, nothing to do with this thread really.

I know the son of a famous Japanese pop star through work, though.

Did my work experience at the Goldstone and Justin Fashanu would sit with us while me and my mate were licking stamps, chatting to us. What a lovely fella he was, called us 'brothers' even though we were white as Marleys Ghost. Such a shame.

Have interviewed a few moderately famous people including Des Lynam, Peter Taylor (the second), Micky Adams, Michel Kuipers (!), the girl who played Marion in the new Robin Hood (she's a friend though so I'm not sure that counts) and Wales rugby winger Shane Williams. Hopefully a list I will be able to add to over the years!

Edit: also Brett Mendoza. It doesn't get much bigger than that!

In the pub-restuarant i worked at back home, jim marshall, the founder of marshall amps, used to come in about 3 or 4 times a week. He's well into his 80's now and in a wheelchair as he had a stroke last year. He's a really nice bloke, and always left massive tips!!

And up here in B'ham I work behind the bar in the student union, and last week Mini-Me was a special guest for this club night thing they do, the actual MINI-ME!!

In my days as an accountant's skivvy I dug through VAT receipts belonging to a variety of entertainment sorts with varying degrees of fame.

I spoke to "nasty" Nick Bateman from the first Big Brother. I also chatted to a certain Miss Anna Friel over the telephone.

I ran my eye over Income and Expenditure accounts for Trainspotting's Ewan Bremner (Spud) and local lad Jamie Theakston.

Another client of the same firm, who I actually met on one occasion was Britain's FIRST Astronaut Helen Sharman. How many people have you met who've been into SPACE?

And I also went through former Gamesmaster presenter Dominik Diamond's books before he let me APPEAR ON HIS SHOW. This was of course the crowning achievement of my entire life. I did not get to keep the golden joystick however.

Incidentally during filming of the show I also met special guest Natalie Imbruglia who at the time was in Neighbours. Though not technically meeting her through work it was through work for someone else that I ended up meeting her. She was fit.

was at BHASVIC with Jamie Theakston, was a nice lad and a decent keeper, but a bit flash he had a souped up beetle when us Brighton kids were all coming in on the bus. Mike Yaxley was our manager and Stuart Tucks brother Chris played too as our captain. Now thats pedigree.
