They seem to have made no effort to balance the club if the parachute payments weren't there next season. Oh dear.

Hopefully if they don't go up, there finanices will be the wake up call the FA needs to punish clubs who enter adminastration after gambling heavy on success, heavier than a 10 point deduction.

I personally would like to see teams who gamble so much on paying wages so out of the ordinary,or enter admin twice in 4 years, get at the very least one relagation and not just 10 points

I think Leicester have the backing, and not huge debts, but Birmingham I heard could be Tommy Tucked either way.

Hasn't Birmigham's owner had his accounts frozen or something?

I seem to remember (but may be confusing teams/owners) leicester getting rid of sven because it was so important they went up this year, but perhaps like west ham the owners could finance another year, if they had to.

You'd have thought that football clubs would find some way of hedging their risk, like all other large companies do.

I can garentee you one thing, if the people who have "invested" their money feel its under threat they will be straight out of there, with all the money that's owed to them. Or like Southampton transfer the money owed into shares in the club, they were very lucky with that choice with reports of 30m owed.

The heat is on for the West Ham owners. They've spent heavy this season but it could go belly up in all ways. Gold & his porno pedlar mate have stuck their neck on the block by backing Allardyce, yet most of the fans hate his style of play & want him gone. They are all getting jittery & hopefully their crap home form will continue on Saturday.

Did anyone see the Camera shot of Gold as the half time whistle went yesterday? losing 3-1, he was glued to his seat, staring like a rabbit into the headlights! They're making the usual brave noises in public but I suspect they are crapping it.
