It's difficult, Adams dragged us out of Division 3 and to the top of Division 2. Taylor inherited an already decent side. He wasn't up to taking us further. The less said about Hinch the better. Coppell probably would have kept us in Division One if he'd been there at the beginning of the season. Still, he got a better offer and so on. McGhee has worked miracles as he didn't have Zamora. The fact we don't look that bad under his stewardship says that he gets my vote. The only question is will he still be next August ?

I went for Coppell. He had us playing some lovely football and would have kept us up easily if he had been here all season.

McGhee is doing a great job mind but Im still a bit unconvinced by some of his decisions.

Adams was a legend but not sure how we would have done under him in Div 1.

Taylor I did not rate much, inherited Adam's squad then jumped ship.

Hinsch...good coach.

McGhee is doing well, but is on where near Adams.

A struggling third division outfit, drifting dangeriously close to relegation and he comes in, first year gets us into a comfortable position, and the year after that wins championship. Even when he left, it was his team that won us the second division title.

has to be McGhee

he's the only one that DK has not allowed to spend money and yet we are in our highest league position for over 10 years holding our own pretty comfortably in the Championship.

MM, I'm not ashamed to admit he has proven me completely wrong, long may it continue Mr. McGhee.

Coppell -34 games, 10 wins, 6 draws, 13 lost - 41 points (just in the 1st division)

McGhee - 31 games 10 wins, 8 draws. 13 lost - 38 points (in this division)

Adams turned us from an average side to one capable of two successive championships, building the spine that has lasted for some time. Coppell was also building a very strong side, the best I've seen at the club, but joined too late and left too soon.

McGhee has made a good start, but comes below those two for me at the moment. If he continues as he is going, he'll overtake Coppell before too long.

What are you trying to say by that?

I think the two managers records in this division are similar but I preferred the football we played under Coppell and he was also better at attracting quality signings on loan.

I assume you're missing some draws there?

It's a close one between McGhee and Adams. Obviously Adams is the fans' favourite and has achieved the more than anybody else, but I don't think that Adams would do as well as McGhee is currently doing with our squad and limited resources at this higher level. So my vote goes to the Jock.

10 plus 6 plus 13 = 29 so you are missing 5 games somewhere from Coppell's era.

You would think you would be better then maths at that, you must have been doing it for years.

Saves me typing it. McGhee is doing bloody well saying that, and he's running a very close second.

People underestimate Hinshelwood. Losing 12 in a row is some achievment and not one that will be repeated any time soon. Give the man credit.
