Who got the best deal out of their negotiations with Bury, was it Brighton or Preston?

David Nugent-20 year old under 21 international, good striking record. Bury to Preston £100k.

CKR- one for the future, not scoring to many at present. Bury to Brighton £100+k.

If you put CKR in Prestons side Im sure hed have scroed a fair few more tahn he has for us, but am I alone in thinking 5 goals from not all that many starts for a NINETEEN year old in his first season in the CCC is not too shabby at all?

They paid £50k up front plus add ons which would take it to £100k for Nugent.

We paid £50k up front plus add ons which would take it to £100k for Kazim-Richards.

CKR has true class. He has the potential to be a +£million player, hopefully he realises that potential whilst with us.

I agree Dan.

Had it not been for the fact that we really didn't have anybody else to score goals for us (and still don't apparantly) then I don't think he would have been first choice to start when he first came in.

He was bought as an investment for the future but through our failure to develop any serious strikeforce we have relied on him far more than we should have done.

Let's not forget that he is in fact our top scorer, so would people rather we didn't have him?

CKR is class!!!

He should bve given a decent run of starts from now until the end of the season! lets face it, there is no-one doing well enough to keep him out!

Isn't Nugent playing alongside Dichio ? who is just the sort of experienced striker we are looking for, if we had someone of that class I'm sure CKR and Jakey would have scored a lot more than they have !
