Never heard of 5 of them. Why the word "personality" in the award title? It's nothing to do with their personality. Murray for one doesn't even have one.

Wow, I'm surprised that only me and two others voted for Strauss. How many people have ever captained an England team in any sport to pretty-much-undisputed "best in the world" status? And that doesn't warrant some kind of gong?

I voted for Rat's but at least Cavendish consistantly worked up one hell of a sweat achieving, er, whatever it was on his cycling holiday

Darren Clarke surely.

For a guy that old to win an Open is outstanding.
What else did he compete in and win, or is it SPo4days?

Really surprised by this - none of the entries this year are obscure people from weird sports - I'd have thought pretty much everyone with a sporting interest would have heard of them.

As for the winner, Cav by a mile for me

I had to read this thread and then wikipedia to find out who or what Mark Cavendish does but then as I only watch football boxing or cricket and have no interest in minority sports it is probably understandable..
