Let Ankergren go. We needn't replace him as we have a couple of lads coming through who will be good enough as third choice back-up. If Niemi goes home at the end of the season which I think there is every chance he might, Anks would make a great gk coach.
Try to persuade Calde to stay as a player-coach with the emphasis on developing a sports psychology unit at the training centre. He won't play much if at all.
Sign Joe Bennett and Halford.
Hughes, McCourt, Agustein, Macksimenko, Chicksen, CMS, all to go. Jury out on Best. Keep him if he does well (we need a player of his type but it needs to be one who will score goals).
Let Tex go unless Liverpool want to send him back for a second full season. We need a player of his type.

Is this the same O'Grady who has just told the Argus that he has targeted a long-term future at Albion and says failing is “not an option”? The article continues, "O’Grady, poised to lead the attack again against Nottingham Forest at the Amex tomorrow, aims to see out the three-year contract he signed when the Seagulls bought him from Barnsley in the summer. O’Grady told The Argus: “My family are here. We are settled. The kids are in school and happy. It’s definitely the target and the goal."

Think he might be staying.

Is signing Tex that unrealistic? He's been at Liverpool for 3 years now with just 1 sub appearance. He has also just turned 22 and therefore now has to get into their 25 man squad for any chance of further action.

It's possible that a lower PL team might take him on; it's also possible that he might see us as a better bet for first team action and development.

I'd love it if we signed him early in the summer (and then put him on an intensive weight training programme).

Absolutely this, Keeping Tex and beefing him up would be a boon.
