Not read this thread but those many players that missed easy chances in first half will be having nightmares tonight. As for 2nd half just unbelievable that after we went ahead we were outplayed by a side that had not even scored for ages. Shame our 2 local players were terrible . Dunk may have the odd good game but is now past his best. Leicester went past Hinshlewood all game as if he wasnt there.
Here I was thinking at half time we would play latter part of game with just Dunk at CB and push Baleba up. Of course not possible because under the cosh.

Care to name a soft, human leader who has been a successful elite football manager?

I can name some absolute bastards
Sven. Before he managed England, obviously

Escape goats needed, so...
So many to choose from, including:
Whoever started the new points harvesting (ready for Europe) thread earlier this season
Whoever started the Champions League / Europe again chants
Whoever got them to change the timing for Sussex by the Sea from when the players emerge onto the pitch to just before kick-off

Other - my mate for sending me an article on how great FAB is just before the cup game.

More realistically though I am still blaming injuries, a lack of proper rotation and resting has caused fatigue at the end of the season (again).

Of course you can add in a lack of defensive cover to mitigate for those injuries.

Top ten is hardly a failure given the context of this season so for me 'blame' is not quite the word.

Didn’t have anything in midfield once Leicester started bossing it . The manager didn’t see it .

Players. Our tactics were fine, which is why we created a billion chances. Relaxing after scoring a goal isn't fine, especially not given our last game against these. They're paid to play football and did it half-heartedly once we went 1-0 up and then 2-1 up. Five minutes of bad concentration gives both opposition goals and a switch of momentum. Immediately after our first goal, we stopped chasing their defenders down when they were measuring long passes to Mavdidi & co. It is not acceptable. It is lazy.
First half maybe. Second half, not so much.

Ultimately it comes down to the responsibility of the Steamworks in Glynde. But we already know that really - deep down. I hear their light bites and soft drinks are superb.
I heard that the players had a pre match jolly there upon reading about it in NSC.

This anyone who started or contributed to a Steamworks thread should really take responsibility

The cup run and in particular the Forest 120 minutes and penalties screwed our season. Pure and
simple. We have never recovered. We look dead on our feet. I wish we had gone out in the 3rd round
and played the kids.
