I can confirm that I am not in that picture as due to a potent combination of alcohol and prescription drugs, I was unable to negotiate the terracing for quite some time.

I'm there, somewhere!!?

The invasion broke out from the gate of the North stand nearest me.

I was only a wee lad at the time, but I loved it :)

Severe lack of Albion shirts being worn.

That's because most of the people there weren't TRUE Albion fans.

In fact all they wanted to do was get in on the act.

I remember looking behind me in the stand, and I couldn't see any of the usual faces. Just a load of people that wanted a bit of aggro.

what a load of rubbish

No it isn't!

I was there week in week out, and I'd never seen so many people crammed into that stand. Most of which were people I'd never seen before!

That's the truth, and although it was a defiant act for the sake of the club I'm sure people are man enough to admit the same fact.

we were a proper club then.

looking at the houses in the background reminds me of the crush to get out after the game , hard to explain why this is special but it is (was)
