I'm 26 years old and have completely gone off drinking lager. Instead, I like nothing better than devouring a nice bottle of white wine or two. Now does this make me civilised or queer?

Hmmm. In a pub, I'm afraid you're in dangerous territory. Context is everything. Restaurant/home with a bit of seafood, different ball game.

It depends on what mood I'm in a pub I like a nice cold pint or a bottle of bud. At home or out having a meal a nice glass of Rosemount or Jacob's Creek which usually leads to having a bottle:lolol:

Personally I'd choose wine over lager in a pub anyday. Of course, if they've got a decent real ale I'd have that instead. But pints of mock-european lager? No thanks.

Generally wine at home. The fridge full of lager only seems to get touched when we have visitors.

Have never been 'brave' enough to have wine in a pub though - stick to cider - now that's a man's drink!

The jury is out as to whether orange squash or juice is the way to go.

However, I concur that a nice local scrumpy is enhanced by a dash of a citrus based liquid as well as a slice of lemon.
