For everyone who was desperate for him to sign hope you can now see that he really is just an average defender and i for one was hoping that he would leave as he just cant pass and if we are to ever get promoted we cant have players who cant pass playing for us.

He has been a bit of a liability this season, penalty, own goal, and he was the cause of at lease one of the goals on Saturday by constantly backing off his man.

When you're in a physical battle, he's your man. Need a cool head and occasional decent distribution, then he's not. Personally, at least I understand what he can and can't give us in a particular situation. Virgo meanwhile remains a flippin enigma to me. Don't see what he adds to the team at all. Can't pass a ball, can't control a ball, trademark awful free-kicks, and one of the most panicky players out there (who made him Captain for heavens sake) and I suspect one of the best paid. Should never have brought him back to the Albion IMHO.

He was played out of position to be fair to the lad. Also defending starts at the front and I didnt see much of that in evidence on Saturday, with the midfield allowing SC players to run through them consistantly. Its too easy to blame this result only on the defenders. Also he made a potential goal saving tackle 10 seconds into the game as the rest of the team were backing off so much I thought they coming over to sit in the Family stand!

I agree Im afraid to say. Why he was put at RB beats me because he doesnt have the pace at all. Strange decision not to put Tunnicliffe out their because he looks quicker. Also confused as to why we didnt put El Bad at RB and move Virgs into the centre when Elfick got himself sent off.

What a load of shit, Whing is one of our best players and I would trust him more than anyone on the pitch. He is perhaps the only one who looks like he cares

He is not a left back and should not be playing there who would you rather we played at right back El Abd?

Playing left back which is out of position with cox infront of him. To me always will have a tough job at left back, cox doesnt help out too much, and his tendancy to drift to the far side of the pitch left Whing vulnerable. Cant blame him imo, he didnt play his best, but its almost as much the man infront of hims fault as it is his. Too many times cox is out of position, and whing was left with 2 men (not just on saturday! happens at right back too) which will always leave him struggling.

It seems that the commitment and help of the wingers is really overlooked at times.

Whingy is a class act who needs more help from his supporting midfielders IMO.

Whing is a good enough player for League One, especially in a relegation scrap.

However I think its telling that, if we have a successful season, he would be nowhere near the top of the nominations for Player of the Season, pretty sure of that.

Its easy to criticise Whing lately, but to those who want him dropped I ask you this - who else do we have in the team who looks like a character in Eastenders ? I don't see any other Max lookalikes queuing up to wear the stripes.

You might want to remember that the next time you feel like giving him stick.

He is average. I think everyone already knew that..
I love Andy Whing because he is one of a few of those players that is actually passionate about playing for our club.
If players like Glenn Murray showed the same attitude, we wouldn't be in the position we are today.

Yep damn you virgo and your aweful free kicks, like that one that forced a save out of their keeper on saturday? Whing seems to be pushing up a lot more that i ever remember last season, perhaps Slade thought he could turn him into a holding midfielder ahead of dicker

anyone who watches the games can see that the midfield need to get back and support. There are too many people who think that by running about and putting in a couple of crosses means that Cox has done a shift, judge him on what he does without the ball as much as with it
