Which March would you go on?

We would all probably go on a Falmer march, but leaving our beloved Albion aside for one moment, what other cause would you consider attending a march for?

I think marches are a waste of time and effort

I was one of the main protestors at Shoreham in the late 90's. There was no way I was going to have those fecking lorries driving through the streets of Hove to be dispatched to their deaths from Shoreham Port.

I was 10 feet away from the first lorry , which appeared all over the news as some guy climbed above the cabin and smashed the windscreen. Was in the front line that night.

Suprised I didn't get arrested.

none thanks, I dont mind a nice walk if theres a pub at the end otherwise its a feckin waste of time, what has a good march ever achieved other than to piss people off your trying to win over, and maybe get you on TV for 20 seconds ?

I've been on most of these, except Countryside Alliance, F4J, and, of course, BNP/NF (although I've been on plenty against them).

I should have demo stickers to attach to my donkey jacket :)

Indeed.

Some of the things the police did ??? .

One protestor in his 70's had a walking stick and one of the Policemen grabbed it and threw it over a hedge !.

Still they got some good overtime out of it.

I'd been living in Brighton for all of one week before my picture appeared on the front page of the Daily Telegraph, hurling abuse at Harold Wilson as he arrived at the Labour Party Conference.

All his fault for supporting LBJ's war in Vietnam.

Those were the days when Prime Ministers walked along Brighton seafront and the police let demonstrators charge at them.

Glory Days :clap2:

I have to say I thought the opposition to the livestock export thing was a bit much, its been going on for years, just out of sight, and where I travel for work you see livestock in lorries all over the place travelling the length and breadth of the country every day for just as long as a channel crossing,

I do think its unnecessary though, most meat is packaged and on the shelf before its been properly hung anyway, why rush these things !

No doubt picking their way between deck chairs, Eva Petulangro staring sulkily from her booth, the whelk sellers, the mods and rockers slashing each other with their flick knives, the old gays mincing (I am getting so Non PC as I get older!) their way to the Greyhound Hotel and the old folks clammering to be part of "Oh What a Lovely War". Oh what fun ... and the summers were so much warmer and longer back then ....
