Way out west
Only had a couple of times when I planned to go to a game and didn't for whatever reason. The first was an away game at Aldershot, must have been late 87 as I was living in Kent at the time, think we beat them 4-1. The other time was when we beat Charlton 7-0 at the Goldstone, I used to go to all home games with my brother then, I think he had to work and I couldn't be bothered to go on my own. (I might add that at that time we used to cycle from Storrington to Shoreham, catch the train to Hove, watch the game then make the return journey).

1983 Cup final

I had two kids, exiled in Yorkshire with no money. Watching it on tv was a small consolation.

simillar to my situation for our little trip to cardiff.
stuck in yorkshire with 3 kids and struggling to pay morgage, meant i couldnt afford playoff final. so had to make do with the tv.

Millenium Stadium this year. I listened on a radio on the patio of a villa in the mountains in Cyprus, great view but my heart was many miles away.
