I need to know the odds on Brighton getting relegated and how much he's bet on it.

Can't imagine why he's not on here posting photos of his betting slip and generally taking the piss

:lolol: :lolol:

I can remember his slagging of Currie very well

Here I am. Nice to be missed!

I don't know what Albion's current odds for relegation are, but I had £250 at 3/1 at the start of the season.

Bit early for such confidence, isn't it IG? Marathon not a sprint and all that. After all, this time last year Albion were 2nd in the Second Division. You weren't 2nd in May though.

Be honest, how long do you honestly believe Albion can keep on racking up these fortunate 1-0 wins? A bizarre own goal by a Preston player, one shot on target at Leicester, a dodgy penalty at Gillingham. Do you think that sort of luck is going to hold all season long?

Take a look at the current Championship table. Do you reckon we'll go down? Forest? Wolves? Coventry? Leeds? Of course, it's a distinct possibilty that any of those teams could go down, but do you honestly think they are more likely to drop than Albion?

Your lot have certainly surprised me, no doubt about that. I expected you to be in the bottom four by now. And I expected you stay there too. I was wrong. But the fact is that you're 16th, not 6th. Things can change very quickly, and you could easily be in one of the relegation places by the end of next month.

I had four pre-season bets in total: Brighton to be relegated at 3/1, Torquay to be relegated at 7/4, Yeovil to be promoted at 11/4 and Leigh RMI to be relegated at 2/1. So far, Albion are the only ones letting the side down. But I won't be taking my other slips to the bookies this weekend and asking them to pay out.

It's the end of September, not the beginning of May. Far too early to be counting any chickens.....

3/1 is still a fair price on us getting relegated even now. You'd be hard pressed to get much more than 5/2 against it at the moment.

Now, a few short weeks ago you wouldn't be asking questions like this in a slightly defensive tone, you'd be telling us the answers :D

Speaking of reality, I've heard the Premiership big boys have already started to form an orderly queue for Currie's signature in the January sales. Is that right LI?

Every chance if our current pathetic level of form is maintained. But we've been so poor by comparison to last season that I can't believe things will carry on indefinitely. If we fail to win on Saturday there's a good chance Lawrence will be out on his arse, and I'd expect things to improve significantly if that happens.

My money is on Rotherham and Gillingham and A.N. Other. Not sure who at the moment.

Crewe are one those sides that usually have enough in them to survive. They have a good manager in Dario Gradi.

Thats a very honest answer - thought I might provoke a more abusive response.
Don't come sniffing for McGhee though if & when you do get rid of LL (unless you offer lots & lots of money :) )

Nah, it's only Cardiff who seem to offload their best players in the middle of a Championship relegation battle.

WBA managed promotion to the Premiership on the back of these type of 1-0 results I seem to remember. Anyway, we should have won by more in at least two of those games. And if you're going to call these lucky, then what about "unlucky" defeats against QPR, Reading and Wolves? You can't have it both ways.

Yes, that's unlikely. But as has been said before, you might though (now that Uncle Sam has realised that Cardiff won't be averaging 48,000 in the Premiership and is flogging off the crown jewels to recoup some of his investment)

Apparently Ashton is attracting plenty of interest from Premiership clubs and might go in January. Crewe would be sure to struggle without him.

We were in total freefall until we won at Wolves last Saturday, but by all accounts we were unfortunate not to win at Burnley on Tuesday, never mind to get beaten. I'm hoping that things will improve, but I'm not holding my breath. We've generally been very poor so far this season.

Rotherham look to be in big trouble, but I think the other two places are wide open.

What investment? He hasn't invested a bean - the bank has been lending the club money. We were something like £26 million in debt at the last count.

Earnie had to go though. He wanted to try his luck at the highest level. The club hung on to him as long as was practical, but it's obvious we're not about to storm the division so the boy had to move now while he could.

What's going on LB?!!

You always used to be so complimentary about BHA and magnanimous (sp) in defeat when Bobby's goals used to beat you lot, but now you've turned into BHA's worse enemy!!

What gives?;)

Nonsense man! I bet Albion to be relegated last time you were in this division too. And made a fat pile of cash as it happens!

I mean Albion no harm. You know that. If I had such a thing as a 'second' team, then Brighton would be it (I don't by the way, unless you count our reserves). But I still expect you to be relegated this season.

Last season I was able to almost 'support' Albion as we were in different divisions. In fact, I did 'support' Albion at the play-off final, but then the fact that you were playing the Wurzels had plenty to do with that. They are my least favourite club on the planet.

This season is different though. We are in the same division. Which means we are rivals again. Relegation rivals by the look of it. Which is not good news.

Well, if the "respectable" face of Cardiff FC (ie YOU!!) is so anti-BHA, god knows the welcome we'll get at Ninian this season from you lot!!! (And don't say you don't care about BHA, have bigger fish to fry, etc, etc because your fans I reckon are still sour that the "gayboys" had the hoodoo over you for a few years :p
