England seemed to start well but lost fluidity. Like the look of having Cole and Bridge on the left, though - always surprised Sven had hardly tried it before, one disappointing match notwithstanding.

How good is Gerrard, though. . . Saw him for his Liverpool debut, at Spurs, and remember thinking he looked decent enough for an unknown kid, but could never anticipated how good he'd become. And could still become even better, among the best in the world. Fingers crossed. . .
