Where would you go on holiday?

Would you go in late Oct firstly (kids hols=higher prices?)

And if you had almost a £1000 for 2 weeks,where would you choose,bearing in mind my girlfriend and i want sun.

late october, two weeks....looking for sun...therefore short-haul is limited, possibly egypt maybe turkey or tunisia, or even morocco which is beautiful. or get yourself a long haul deal and go to thailand, you won't regret it (unless you get bombed)

Mexico! Where I have always wanted to go. Book about 2/3 weeks prior. 1st choice have great reductions, as do last minute, and try cheapflights (they also have a holiday section).

In my experience, the internet can save you money, but you can't beat the travel agent for ease etc, you get to see an idea of where you are being sent etc, Where as on the internet you don't really have a clue.

Just a tip go to the travel agents and they will give you an idea, note down the hotels you like then check out deals to these hotels/resorts on the internet to compare prices etc. Then phone up the companies and say i want to go "place" for 2 weeks etc etc and see what they charge you.

was about £120-£160 p/nite when we went last year, and if you want to pick up the pace a bit, it's easy to fly/boat to Mykonos for the day/nite..btw Mykonos has a great club called Cavo Paradiso built in to the side of a cliff- opens at 3am, sun comes up and party carries on till midday...

Thailand in October could still be in the tail end of the monsoon, check the weather before you go, me and the missis went two years ago in Oct and missed the moonson season by about 9 days, it was blinding hot and the beaches were empty as was our hotel, and we got upgraded twice due to the emptyness.
