Thanks Greens :(
I can't see that there will be a massive take up of season tickets, with someone elsewhere posting that people are more selective about which games they go to, on a match-by-match basis, so there will be a process of stand/seat selection regarding to where people gravitate. There might be 10 000 STH, with plenty of scope for picking where you want to sit otherwise...

Depends where they put the family stand.

If family stand = East or West then I'll go in the north behind the goal.

If family stand = North then I'll go in the cheap seats so hopefully I won't be near any old people.

Sorry Billy, is it families you dont like or old people or both? I'm just worried as I was planning to bring my kids to Falmer but I don't want to ruin it for you.

I wouldn't worry youself, there's plenty of room for all the kids and oldies, as long as they're all grouped together and not near me.

In all seriousness, I'm just thinking of the times at Withdean when I've seen old people or people with kids get a strop on because other fans were singing, shouting or trying to get an atmosphere going. Falmer needs to develop imaginary splits like there were at the Goldstone, i.e North = a bit rowdey, South = families and West = thermos flasks and bobble hats.

There should be enought sections and spaces for some imaginative pricing. I'd like to be able to sample matches from all areas and would then settle on my fav.

The East will be facing into the sun.

I'll probably go in the East, next to the away fans (I would think the West will be rather expensive, especially the upper tier. I've got used to H Block at Withdean, and I think my behind the goal days are behind me. I do regret the end of traditional home stands though. Most of the new stadiums seem to have the family stand behind one goal, with just a few singers next to the away fans, see for example Southampton, and I think Reading.

I think when we discussed this before many came to the conclusion that East stand left hand side would be good because it is near the away fans for banter but also a good view of the west stand in front of you.

Also, it has already been built so maybe we should go and ask natterjack if we can have a sit on the steps there to get a feel for the place :)

Set it off on the left
Set it off just set it off,
Set it off on the left side
Set it off on the right
Set it off, I said just set it off

Sorry that old tune came into my head reading all this left, right side stuff.

Yep. Tend to agree with you Mr Fish. However, the kids need to be taught the art of singing, shouting and being a bit rowdy. Example - towards the end of last season, after the Cox goal celebrations at the home game against Oldham had died down, one of my sons said: "Daddy, why did you leap around like a crazy frog"? He's only ever know the awful atmosphere of Withdean so is still suprised by the odd bit of noise etc. Cant wait for my kids to experience a decent atmos at Falmer!
