If we are going to win a tournament this has to be the one. Not because England are the best side in it, but the simple fact that there is very little between any of the top sides and Sven's England do not lose competitive games. Getting France in the group is a blessing as we cannot play them again until the final (I think). Englands first 11 is as good as any of the nations, however as was shown in the Denmark friendly the squad is a tad weak.

My only real worry is David James has not had a bad game for England, yet. You sort of know that when he cocks up it will be a major one.

I'd like to think that there's been a few phone calls going on between Beckham and some of the other senior players along the lines of: "You've all seen what's happened with the rugby, a game that most people aren't too fussed about. We should be getting a bit of that, imagine the scenes in London if we won a major trophy. Let's make it Portugal."

I don't comment on friendlies as there are Toss!! Players IMHO will not up their game in friendly like they would in the gropu stages for example where if they lose it could be an early flught home.

We will win if England play at the level they are capable of....
