The narky old bastard in front of me had two boys with him, and because the Dad was bored, shouting out 'this is shit, Brighton', that with 10 minutes still to go, he wanted to leave. The two young lads with him, possibly on their first day out, were near to tears because they wanted to stay and at least appluad their team off, or stay till the end at any rate.

Selfish git.
Be reasonable. He had a bus to catch.

wasn't helped by the fact that there were two tiers.
The lower would just get one going when the upper tier would start drowning us out.

Well the toilets were miles away.

Great day out from the moment that we outsang them on the tube. "Number one is Peter Ward.........."

I was in the East Stand with my sister who made more noise than all the happy hammers put together. The Seagulls support sounded superb from where I was and I was hoping Bobby would score so that, in the sweetest of sweet ironies, we could make more noise than them when they scored!

My favourite chant? "Thats why your going down" after the hammers strung together 20 ole passes culminating in a back pass! I think that was lost on the hammers but I enjoyed it.

See you in Bristol in Tuesday.

Was in the Lower tier by all the empty seats at the side - saddo that I sam I roughly counted them (350) utter disgrace to have so many empty. The area ended up full of the boys in blue ( or yellow vests ! )

Noise was good but I got " told off " by a copper for using foul language when doing the YOU'RE SHIT call at Roy Carroll !! :censored:

Lower tier row J left hand side. Mostly families around us, many of whom didn't know the words.

The atmosphere was OK to good. Not a patch on Spurs a couple of years ago.

Travelling back from the ground with Krispies, I was struck by the fact that he seemed down in the dumps because of what he perceived as a quiet Albion crowd. He'd been in the Lower Tier.

I met Krispies on the train going home. He had a sore throat and he was disappointed with Albion's singing.

My mate who is a west ham fan said that he was surprised how quiet we were in comparison to last time we were there when we made shit loads of noise the whole game even before we scored the goal. This time he reckoned it was half as noisy even with double the amount of people. For me it was ok but not a patch on the atmosphere fro the Millwall JPT game which was absolutely top draw.

Upper tier, far right. Crap atmosphere there, sounded good in the centre though. Was sitting around people who didn't know the words to GOSBTS, and didn't know who any of the players were except Zamora. Dissappointing.

Lower tier, left hand side (by the ever so necessary safety zone of empty seats) towards the back...

I was disappointed by the lack of singing in the Lower... given the positive comments elsewhere I'm guessing it was better in the Upper but from where I was I only actually heard the Upper a couple of times and never enough to join in... Being split in two with acoustics that mean you can't hear each other (let alone see each other) does unfortunately reduce the "travelling army" effect from within... out of interest, could you hear the Lower from the Upper?

The defiant GOSBTS at the end was good (both tiers in unison at that point?). My other favourites were also "Are you ever gonna sing?" and "That's why you're going down!".

edit: one very reliable measure is that I joined in loudly at every opportunity and didn't even lose my voice...!

No option for Bobby Moore Stand Lower, good noise in first half quieter in second - no much variation in songs though - did like the "do you ever sing a song" or whatever it was, cant quite remember.

The cockneys around me were chuckling at that one.

I was in row G of the lower tier. (just under the TV Camera Gantry). From where I was, the noise sounded pretty good, but faded once we were 2 down. I think I spotted Krispies, and if I am right, he was in the back row of the lower tier, so he probably wouldn't have heard any of the noise coming from the upper tier.

I was sat near Krispies and I thought the atmosphere wasn't great after we conceeded.....thought we could have supported the team better even though we were losing.........think we must have been with the STH !!!
And like someone else said I couldn't hear the upper tier at all from where I was but I was near the back of the lower !!
