In this months 200th issue of When Saturday Comes there is an article by Simon Inglis about football ground developments in the last 20 years.

His best memory was the return of Charlton to the Valley, and the worst..........the sale of the Goldstone before a replacement was ready.

I've never been more annoyed, and more angry trying to ring a football phone-in than the day after the York abandonment.

Radio 5 had a Sunday afternoon show, Jim 'n The Doc, and Tommy Doc slagged us off saying, "They may not like leaving the Goldstone, but they be happy enough in their new stadium next season."   :censored:

I was insensed, and tried to get on the show. I was planning to thank him for giving me the best piece of news I've heard all season, just one thing Tom, where the :censored: is this new ground?

What a prick, I have never forgotten and will never forgive. If you are doing that sort of show, and go out on a limb slagging fans off for protesting, at least have the decency to find out what they are protesting about.

There are hardly any decent football magazines anymore - WSC and Four Four Two being the only quality reads about.

Have to say i like The Game in the Times though, quality read.

This involves both our clubs but for different reasons. Where can you get the mag from?

WH Smiths stock it. It's pretty popular.

Haven't bought WSC for years now, but did in the early days and still have copies (most issues from no.7 through to approx no. 90) if anyone collects and wants to buy.

I used to really enjoy "90 Minutes", I was gutted when that stopped.

When does WSC released? The new copy that is.

It's out now available in all good newsagents and WH Smiths. Manu Utd's Ronaldo is on the cover. There is actually a bit culled from one of their past issues on The Return to the Valley Party that fought in the local elections about 10 years ago.

I recommend you subscribe, it's cheaper than buying from the shops, it's delivered to your door and it arrives earlier.

And in the three years I've been subscribed they've not changed the standing order :smokin:
