Yes that was it - tucked at the back of a very grey windy Churchill Square at the bottom of the stairs!!!

My memory is pretty shoddy but next to Slims was a hardware store. Possibly...?
Hmv also in Churchill Square where I remember buying This Charming Man by The Smiths on 12 inch.

Yeah think you might be correct with the hardware store - I do remember HMV being there and Tesco and Habitat was at the back too!!

I also remember those huge grey ugly concrete block planter things that were as came out of BHS at the rear of the shop.

Along with Busman and 10 Pence Man there was also Bag Lady who would shake a plastic bag at cars, buses and anything really. I remember my dad beeping his car horn as we went passed her on London Road.

What about the guy who was in a wheelchair who lived in the road that goes from the London road to the Withdean Stadium and used to wave at every bus that went past. (60s-70s)

LOL little blue rubber keys!! There is a 64 up there too and loads of those little disks with games on - you needed about 5 disks per game didn't you?

The c64 discs were ridiculously big, thin but wider than a cd case
