Choice of 3 Man United Arsenal or Liverpool. This re enforces the view of many sports psychologists that red is the best colour to wear as it the players are easier to see on a pitch at a quick glance and if you watch the games it appears that there are more players on the field if a team wears red.

But only England have ever won the World Cup wearing red. (And before you say it, Spain won it wearing their blue change kit).

But, the team that wear red and blue stripes will never win anything.

while there's a team in Spain who wear blue and maroon stripes that I hear are quite good.

In fact, in the entire history of the Spanish League it's only ever been won either by teams playing in stripes (6 of them) or in white shirts (3).

That's pretty much a longer way of saying Man United wear red.

Not entirely as Manchester United finished outside the top 2 in 3 seasons out of 4 between 01/02 and 04/05.
