There are videos on Youtube of the Wolverine scaring off BEARS and WOLVES. It only takes a few seconds to research how hard they are

While I voted for Wolverine, I'd be happy for either to get through, Hippo is the only large animal in this competition that is genuinely hard.

And what a tie this is shaping up to be, going right to the wire.

A quick glance through mod towers would appear to show that eight more second accounts voted for the Wolverine than for the Hippo. It's like FIFA here. Just more so.

Congratulations to the Wolverine on securing his semi final berth. He's got there the hard way, defeating three former champs-the black mamba, the mantis shrimp and now the hippo. To add to the scale of the victory, this is only the second time ever that the hippo hasn't made the semi finals. Major cupset right there.

The hippo is the third biggest land mammal in the world - it doesn't get the chance. However, what I can say is that 30 metre saltwater crocodiles - one of the hardest animals on the planet - know to leave it well alone.
