The only real selection call in my view, is whether Lamptey comes back in. If so Hinsh goes into the midfield and Ayari comes out.

I guess Welbeck could displace Joao Pedro, or Georginio if he's fit to start. But I don't see that. We'll use Danny from the bench for a bit I think.
Yep this

—————————Bart
Lamptey - Van Hecke - Webster - Hinshelwood;
——————Wieffer - Baleba;
———-Minteh - Georginio - Mitoma;
———————-Joao Pedro
Wieffer above Hinsh, Gomez and Ayari?

What's the thinking here? Feels a big call bearing in mind we've not seen much of him.

Pervis drops to the bench for me. I mentioned last week that I thought his legs have gone and watching that Fulham cart horse leave him for dead yesterday for their goal just confirmed it for me.
Tariq or preferably Joel in at RB. Solly in at LB and Jack pushed up into midfield alongside Carlos.
Danny comes in for Pedro too

I suspect one or two of our players will pick up ‘minor knocks’ at City 😉
I do hope so - especially Mitoma and Joao Pedro - long flights for international duty and possible game time (Mitoma especially) . Rest needed pre Forest.

As strong as possible as city are there for the taking
Do we have an "as strong as possible" side though?

Every game these days we seem to being on five players for tactical/tiredness reasons and you wouldn't mind any of them starting. Look at Fulham - Gomez, Adingra and Weiffer all contributed massively. Welbz not so much, but he did the week before.

It's really horses for courses these days for team selection. We barely have any weak links. It's a case of pick the team best placed to beat Man City, and I for one think we can find one.

I’d play Wieffer over Ayari and Gomez (I put Hinsh RB)

Reason is Wieffer showed in his cameo yesterday the tenaciousness and bite we need to deal with the midfield battle. Great player though Gomez clearly is, I have yet to see that side of his game. Ayari I also feel is a little lightweight in this area.

But hey, it’s all fine margins and I’d back any of them to perform.

This is super interesting!

We're all agreed other than:
- Right back
- Who plays alongside Baleba
- Pedro or Welbz upfront.

Have added a poll to see where we all stand!

I went for lamptey, Hinsh and Pedro but any of the options suggested are strong. Key recently has been our ability to bring on strong midfielders who have impacted the games.
